This is simple food at an outstanding price.

The best part are the desserts. Banana pudding and preach cobbler are great food. And best Salisbury steak I've had. Rest of the food standard Southern.

Love the catfish on Fridays. Very nice young man. Waitress was alright .didnt refill my tea once and screwed up the ticket . those things happen sometimes . no big deal. It ended well

We go here alot... Very good county food bar.. they have weigh take out plates... Eat in price is very reasonable.. the cost is one price with tea or coffee... Extra for sodas...

This is a true Southern cookhouse, with all that the south has to offer. They have an all-you-can-eat buffet that’s filled with Southern food. I really enjoyed the fried chicken and the meatloaf. They also had an amazing BBQ sauce that I couldn’t get enough of. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is as cozy as they come. I will be back here for sure. This place is to die for.

Buffet style with good selection of meat choices, lots of vegetables to suit your taste. Very good selection of desserts to choose from, drink included, and all for for a very fair price. Wait staff very attentive and check with you often for refills of your drink. If you need anything just ask, and they will try to get it for you. Your family will not be disappointed as there is truly something for everyone. Try them you will not be disappointed.

The food is mediocre. Staff isn't excellent but they get their job done. The main food seems fresh but the desserts sit out through the meal hours it seems.

M & J Home cooking is becoming my favorite place to eat , The food is always fresh and hot, the staff is great I just wish the salad bar was a bit larger

Visited in Rome Ga. It was awful. Food came from cans, wasn't fresh. The one in Toccoa Ga is way better

Love the Buffett, been coming here a long time with some veteran buddies of mine. We usually come every week or two weeks. I always order an Arnold Palmer with my meal (tea/lemonade) but today they decided to charge me $1.75 for the drink, saying only tea comes with the meal.So all of a sudden I'm paying $1.75 extra for half a glass of lemonade?Won't be back, last visit. Too bad, food is pretty good for a buffet.

We had out Thanksgiving Dinner hear today we had like 16 people the staff was very friendly kept our drinks filled and the food was very good.

Their food is amazing! I give 5 stars for the food and 1 star for our server, Bridgett! She doesn't keep your drinks refilled and when you ask for a refill you get a totally different drink. I had coke and she always brings either unsweetened tea or diet coke 😂😂😂

For the price of the food, I found it lacking. Our server was very pleasant, but there was a guy running the cash register that was going around collecting tips from the tables. I'm not sure if he was putting the somewhere the servers could collect them, but it seemed odd that he would do this. The food was mediocre at best. The only thing I enjoyed was the fried green tomatoes, and I had one the was turning ripe. Overall, I am not a fan of this restaurant.

The fried chicken is always good. The can taste is still with many of the vegetables.

My husband and I love home cooking and never complain, but this food was not good at all. The sweet tea, greens and white beans were the only items I liked - everything else either tasted off or wasn't cooked right. At first I thought our waitress was the rudest until I encountered the cashier. I stood with my bill in hand waiting to pay while she finished her long and obnoxious conversation with the waitress behind her. I was never acknowledged and never thanked. There was a room to my right where at first it appeared that some Mexican guys were eating, but upon closer scrutiny I realized that they had pillows and were actually lounging - apparently living there. I am shocked by the good reviews this place receives. I think most of their patrons are locals who get called by name and have been eating here for years, but I'll never eat here again.
